The word “trust” and its derivatives have been used in various positions in Nahj al-Balaghah in the forms of a noun and a verb. In addition, the roots of other words with the close meaning such as mortgage, debt, covenant and promise are also used in Nahj al-Balaghah which the analysis of the meaning of each can be the subject of a separate article. However, the subject of this article is about the pillars of trust in Nahj al-Balaghah, i.e., the depositor, the trustee, and what is given in trust, of which management and government positions are important examples. Similarly, trust can have various and numerous examples, which based on the data collected by the library method and with the help of descriptive-analytical method include some concepts such as covenant, debt, mortgage, and caliph. On the other hand, there is a close relationship between the Qur’an and Nahj al-Balaghah, which is manifested in various forms in each fragment in Nahj al-Balaghah. The concept of trust and its application in Nahj al-Balaghah is no exception to this issue. There are some examples of trustworthy such as the angel of revelation, and the offering of trust to man, which is mentioned in Nahj al-Balaghah, and is actually a commentary on the verse of trust in the Holy Qur’an.
